It is our job to empower women to be what God has called them to and to overcome generations of negative input that is embedded in the culture. We encourage women to believe better about themselves than they grew up hearing. We teach women that God is their Father and that He loves them passionately and equally. We also train women in leadership and business practices. Women in the tribal cultures of Africa are among the world’s most oppressed people. We are working to change cultural attitudes that give women very little personal rights and that often force women into a life that is no more than a domestic slave. We are advocating for women’s justice. The cultural practices of Africa make life far more difficult for women, dowries, polygamy, the despising of girls education, the workload of women often make their lives arduous. We speak out against these subjugating practices. We train and require our male staff and volunteers to treat women as equal heirs of the grace of God.
