Several years ago, what was meant to be a short visit to her mother by Jenifer, has turned into a tremendous move of God! What was then an unreached and neglected people group because of the violence of the Karamojong warriors culture is changing. \u00a0Now as the tribal groups have\u00a0 said, \u201cWe only knew witchcraft\u00a0 and now we are\u00a0 not Warriors but Karamojong Believers.\u00a0 We did not know there was a god,\u00a0 and now we also know God loves us!\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

Jenifer came upon 8 men sitting around drinking their local beer and she asked if she could have a few minutes of their time.\u00a0 She begun sharing the gospel presentation with them and in the middle one man stood up and threw up his hands and cried with tears \u201cI have killed so many people can God forgive me?\u201d then he fell on his knees. At the end, \u00a0all eight men were saved! Afterwards the warriors took her inside their homestead where she shared with the women and children and several more surrendered their lives to Christ.<\/p>

We immediately sent a team to Kotido another Karamajong town. From that trip they saw 486 salvations, 44 water Baptisms, 12 leaders emerged and were trained, \u00a0and 26 disciple-making groups were formed.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Today we have 841 adult Disciple Making groups with 23,748 members meeting in groups on a weekly basis. We also have 333 Children\u2019s Disciple making groups with 24,360 children meeting. With a 74% illiteracy rate in the region, most of these children have never gone to school.<\/p>

We have spread to 7 of the 9 Karamoja regions and have also reached out to the IK community who are an indigenous ethnic group living in the Morungole mountains in northeastern Uganda near the Kenyan border.\u00a0 The Karamojong and the IK tribe, were enemies, raiding and killing each other.\u00a0 Now the Karamojong Believers are taking the gospel to the IK!\u00a0<\/p>

What was once a very violent, primitive and hostile environment has been transformed \u00a0through the spread of the gospel. One government official in the region commented \u201cWhatever is happening in these small groups has brought about a lot of change among the warriors.
